We were selected through competitive interview to participate in a design competition for a new family house on the outskirts of Coln St Aldwyns within an area of outstanding natural beauty and a highly sensitive landscape context.

The challenge was to design a contemporary country house, firmly part of the English country house tradition and also satisfy para 55 of the NPPF which seeks designs of "exceptional quality or innovative design".
