Through practice and teaching we have carried out extensive research and analysis of key cities and typical urban blocks throughout Europe and the UK.   We have developed an understanding of how diverse and often conflicting relationships between activities create the conditions for rich and vibrant city life and long term sustainability.  From this our urban designs are based on principles of diversification and integration rather than displacement and segregation.
